US TDA sponsored visit to America

With a view to acquiring appropriate technologies relating to Coal Bed Methane Industry and applications, a delegation of Ministers and senior Government Officials travelled to the United States. Meetings were held with members of the United State Department of Energy, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the Ex-Im bank. An informative discussion by Caterpillar at their Washington D.C. offices was followed by a presentation by Jack Gehring of a 1:25 die cast model of a 3516 series Caterpillar generating set to Minister Mbiganyi Tibone of the Botswana Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Affairs
